President’s Message

Marsha Plesac, 2020 Hobart Chamber of Commerce

I am truly honored to serve the residents and the businesses in the City of Hobart as the 2020 President of the Hobart Chamber of Commerce. Having been raised in Hobart and living here for 47 years, I have a passion for our city and a sincere interest in the economic success and the quality of life for its citizens. As the branch manager of the Centier Bank in downtown Hobart, I have seen firsthand the diverse greatness of the business community and the potential for growth in our city.

The Hobart Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors worked tirelessly in 2019 to create and implement a solid strategic plan. This plan has been specifically designed to offer our members valuable and affordable solutions to help their businesses succeed. We have plenty of opportunities to engage with fellow Chamber members and the community. Check out our quarterly lunches featuring great guest speakers, relevant educational seminars, free monthly networking breakfasts, and our amazing gift certificate program! Our yearly Awards Gala, Golf Outing, Family Fun Day, and Business Expo are all events that offer value in different ways. Membership also includes your business listing in our very popular Member Directory. We feel that the more you participate the more success your business will realize. Whether you are someone with a great idea and a dream needing direction as to your next step, or you are an established business operating successfully, the Hobart Chamber of Commerce can be your partner.

The Hobart Chamber of Commerce is committed to being a driving force in the economic development of Hobart. Our city is unique in that it contains one of the largest retail corridors in the state of Indiana. We also boast a quaint and traditional downtown located on a well-maintained lakefront with amazing amenities. Hobart also has an ever-growing manufacturing and commercial sector that contributes greatly to the economy of the city. So, as you can see, Hobart is positioned to provide opportunities for many diverse businesses.

Lisa and Joann in the Chamber office have years of experience navigating the business community of Hobart and are here to help you. You will find support, camaraderie, and friendship in our membership. We want you to succeed and we are here to help you.

In closing, if you are already a Chamber member, thank you! I appreciate your partnership. If you are not a current member of the Hobart Chamber of Commerce, I invite you to browse our website, call the chamber office, or reach out to me if you have questions. Consider becoming a member. The Hobart Chamber of Commerce has a place for you and your business!
